    This sweet and spicy BBQ Seasoning can be used on kale chips, tofu, or chickpeas. It is really addictive!

    BBQ potato chips are my favorite flavor of chips. So a while back I made some BBQ Kale Chips to satisfy my BBQ potato chip craving, but in a healthy package.

    Let me tell you, not only did they satisfy my craving, but I prefer them over potato chips. Not kidding. Of course, you could use this seasoning mixture for homemade BBQ chips as well.

    The BBQ Kale Chips have a light crispy texture plus the sweet and spicy flavor I love about potato chips. So I decided to make the barbecue seasoning as a recipe so that it could be used elsewhere.

    My love for sweet and spicy BBQ flavor goes beyond potato chips. I've made a BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich, BBQ Mushroom Sandwich, and Baked BBQ Tofu to name a few.

    Ingredients

    • 1 teaspoon chipotle powder
    • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
    • ½ teaspoon paprika
    • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
    • ½ teaspoon onion powder
    • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
    • ¼ teaspoon dry mustard powder
    • Salt and pepper

    Instructions

    • Mix all ingredients.
    • Store in an air tight container.

    Notes

    This BBQ seasoning will keep in an airtight container for several months. I prefer to make it in small batches and use it up, but if you hover over the servings in the recipe, you can adjust the amount to make a larger batch.
