Our society is moving at a faster pace than in previous years. Technology has gifted us with many conveniences, but because of those conveniences people are not present. Everywhere around me I see people on their phones, not engaging with the people around them. I see couples eating out together and they are texting or checking emails.
We need to remember to slow down and enjoy the little things. Our inbox can wait, and so can a tweet or text. There are times we need to unplug from our gadgets. If we stop and take a look around us, we will see the hummingbird buzzing around the tree looking for insects, or the butterfly sipping nectar from a flower. Those moments slow us down and ground us. Nature reminds us that we do not need to be in such a hurry all the time. In nature, everything still gets done. When we slow down we can actually get faster results. We hear our intuition. When we are in touch with our intuition, we know what steps to take next. The Universe is always guiding us, we need to slow down to hear it.
