This refreshing scented Lemongrass and Mint Sugar Scrub will wake you up! It has a wonderful minty lemony scent.
Ah, Lemongrass and Mint... Those two ingredients are in a balsamic vinegar that I buy locally, and love.
So, I thought I would try the combination in a Lemongrass and Mint Sugar Scrub. I usually use coconut oil, but this time I thought I would try grape seed oil instead.
Grape seed oil is great for people with sensitive skin and it soaks into your skin quickly. It is lighter than coconut oil, and good for people who are allergic to skin care products.
If you want a thicker oil, you could replace the grape seed oil with avocado, almond, or coconut oil.
This Photo is of a Thai-dye skirt (because the tie-dye maker is from Thailand). I thought it would pair nicely with a Lemongrass and Mint Sugar Scrub, since they are in a lot of Thai recipes.
Lemongrass and Mint Sugar Scrub
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup grape seed oil
- 12-16 drops lemongrass essential oil
- 12-16 drops peppermint oil
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
- Spoon into a mason jar or other container.
*Note - You could use the Basic recipe for Sugar Scrub instead, following the recipe, then adding the essential oils. If you decide to do so, you will use less oil, but you will need to whip the oil with a mixer. Also note that the quantities of sugar and oils are cut in half in this recipe.
