Sugar scrubs are not only easy to make, but they are cheaper than store bought. This Sweet Orange Sugar Scrub will feel like you are at a spa!
This Sweet Orange Sugar Scrub is a fresh, light, fruity sugar scrub. I added orange zest to give it a pop of color, and to add more fragrance.
I think it makes a good gift because most people like the smell of oranges. Of all the sugar scrubs I have made, I think my Orange Chocolate Sugar Scrub is my favorite. It smells like a dessert.
The only thing is it contains cocoa powder, and if you are giving it as a gift, the recipiant may not appreciate the cocoa washing down into the drain of their shower.
Sugar scrubs are super easy to make. You just mix coconut oil, sugar, and some essential oils.
You can whip the coconut oil first, which I show how to do in the Basic Sugar Scrub recipe. By doing so you won't need as much oil. If you are in a hurry, you can mix without whipping it first.
You can add other oils as well. I have added almond oil and grapeseed oil in some of my scrubs. Making your own sugar scrubs are a lot less expensive than purchasing one. After making one yourself, you may find yourself addicted to making them as I have.
