I discovered tapping and Jessica Ortner through the Tapping World Summit, which is put on by The Tapping Solution. It was ten days of tapping webinars with different speakers at each one.
I found myself in tears more than once during the summit. I realized that I had beliefs and emotions that I had been suppressing.
I realized why I was hiding under the weight and resolved to no more. It was truly incredible! I knew tapping would be something I would be using on a regular basis from then on.
So what is tapping?
Simply put, tapping is gently hitting acupuncture points while thinking about a painful or stressful emotion or event. The reason it works is because it lowers cortisol levels by stopping the fight or flight response in the body. It stimulates meridian points and allows healing.
During the Tapping World Summit, Jessica led several tapping sessions. She also led interviews of other coaches. She came across as someone who really enjoys teaching people the benefits of tapping – very genuine. Her sessions were some of the ones where I found myself in tears, releasing my old beliefs and blockages. She went at a nice pace, guiding listeners to look at their issues and clear them.
I got Jessica Ortner’s book “The Tapping Solution For Weight Loss and Body Confidence,” shortly after it came out. In her book, she goes into why we carry excess weight, having struggled with weight issues herself, then losing it with tapping. She leads the reader through extremely effective tapping exercises that are easy to follow. Not only does Jessica talk about her own journey, she includes success stories of other women. Everyone is different as to why we carry the excess weight, and she covers it all.
Jessica covers why focusing on food and exercise alone are not enough. She guides us to look at underlying emotions and beliefs that are keeping us from losing the weight. She talks about how cortisol can keep you from losing weight. She talks about what happens in the brain when you have food cravings and how to get rid of them with tapping.
After getting the book, I tapped on my own weight issues, ate more plant based foods and less processed ones, and lost 17lbs. I am at the lowest weight I have been at in years, and maintaining. I tell everyone I know about tapping. I have dedicated pages on my website to tapping because I know how effective it is. It is a good technique for many things like removing blockages, increasing wealth, decreasing pain, raising your vibration, reducing stress and more.
