Caramelized Onion Hummus

Ingredients:    Caramelized Onions 1 onion sliced (2 cups) 1 tablespoon olive oil Pinch salt 1 teaspoon brown sugar or splash balsamic vinegar

Ingredients:      Hummus 15 ounce can garbanzo beans  ¼ cup tahini ¼ cup lemon juice  1 clove garlic minced  2 tablespoons olive oil  ¼ cup water (optional) salt

Heat olive oil in a pan at medium low heat and add sliced onions. Stir the onions until they are coated with oil. Sprinkle a pinch of salt on the onions.

Stir the onions every few minutes or so. Cooking will take about 35-40 minutes. Add brown sugar or balsamic vinegar at the end of cooking time.

In a food processor, mix all ingredients until well blended.
