Spiced Hot Cocoa

Ingredients: 2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or other plant based milk) ¼ cup cacao powder (or cocoa powder) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 ½ tablespoons maple syrup

Ingredients: 1 teaspoon ground ginger ½ teaspoon cinnamon ⅛ teaspoon allspice ⅛ teaspoon cardamon Pinch salt

Bring  cacao powder, vanilla extract, maple syrup, ground ginger, cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg, salt, and almond milk to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium heat.

Reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 5 minutes, whisking constantly until the cacao is dissolved.
