Vegan Hawaiian BBQ Pizza

Ingredients:   9 " pizza crust   2 tablespoons BBQ sauce  1 slice of tofu bacon chopped  ¼ cup chopped pineapple  1 tablespoon thinly sliced red onion

Ingredients continued:   ¼ cup chopped red pepper 2 tablespoon vegan mozzarella (optional) 1 tablespoon chopped green onion green parts

Tofu Bacon:    15 oz. extra firm tofu   1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon liquid smoke  2 teaspoons paprika

Tofu Bacon continued:    ¼ cup tamari ¼ cup maple syrup ¼ cup apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon olive oil

Slice tofu about ⅛" thick. Mix marinade ingredients (except olive oil). Pour over tofu and let sit for at least an hour to overnight.

Place marinated tofu in pan with olive oil, and cook for several minutes on each side. Spoon some of the marinade on top. Cook both sides until crispy.

Mix /cook pizza dough according to directions. Spread BBQ sauce on pizza crust. Top with tofu bacon, pineapple, red onion, red pepper, and vegan mozzarella. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.
