  • 2 oz. light rum
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (1 lime)
  • 1/2 teaspoon agave syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 pink grapefruit
  • basil leaves
  • club soda


  • Muddle the sugar and basil leaves until the mixture becomes a paste and the leaves are broken up.
  • Juice 1/2 grapefruit and pour into glass with ice.
  • Pour rum, lime juice, agave syrup, basil leaves and sugar over grapefruit juice. Top with club soda. Garnish with a basil leaf and a grapefruit wedge or slice.
