Here is an easy tutorial for how to make sun-dried tomatoes. They are perfect when you have a bunch of tomatoes that need using up. Add them to pizza or other recipes.
Cut tomatoes in approx. ¼" slices. If you are using cherry or plum, cut in half.
Dehydrate at 110° for 24 - 48 hours, depending on the type and size of the tomatoes. You can dehydrate these until fully dried, or somewhat chewy, depending on how you want to use them.
Serve on pizza, in a dip, on a salad, or any other way you normally use the store bought sun-dried tomatoes.
Notes
This is the dehydrator I have. You can control the temperature, and it has a ton of space. Mine has 5 racks, but they come in other sizes as well.
