BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich
This spicy BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich is the ideal mouthwatering comfort food! Made with homemade BBQ seasoning and an easy BBQ sauce, you'd never know it's jackfruit.

Ingredients

olive oil

organic young green jackfruit
drained and rinsed

BBQ seasoning
(whole batch)

4 ingredient sriracha BBQ sauce

or another coleslaw (optional)
Instructions
Place jackfruit in a bowl. Pull apart jackfruit with your hands or two forks.
Add BBQ seasoning. Mix well. Set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large pan on medium heat. Add onions. Cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add garlic. Cook 30 seconds.
Add BBQ seasoned jackfruit. Cook about 5 minutes.
Add sriracha BBQ sauce and water. Cover and cook on medium low heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the water is cooked down and the jackfruit is tender.
Assemble sandwiches with BBQ jackfruit, sliced avocado, pineapple, cilantro, or coleslaw.
Notes
This recipe will last 5-7 days in an airtight container in the fridge. I suggest making sandwiches right before serving.
