This easy vegan Almond Bacon is smoky with a touch of sweet. It adds a nice crunchy texture to any dish you use it in.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon low sodium gluten free tamari
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced almonds

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°.
  • Mix all ingredients together except sliced almonds. Heat on stove or in microwave for 20-30 seconds if coconut oil is solid.
  • Add sliced almonds and mix thoroughly. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Bake at 325°, stirring every 5 minutes. Total baking time will take around 15 minutes.
