Vegan Apple Crisp

Ingredients:   Filling  4 Granny Smith apples, peeled and cut into wedges 1 tablespoon lemon juice  ¼ cup maple syrup  ½ teaspoon cinnamon Pinch nutmeg Pinch salt

Ingredients:   Topping  1 cup gluten free rolled oats  ½ cup superfine almond flour  ¼ cup chopped pecans  ¼ cup maple syrup

Ingredients continued:  2 tablespoons coconut oil  ½ teaspoon cinnamon Pinch nutmeg Pinch salt

 Preheat oven to 350°. Filling: Mix lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, maple syrup, and salt. Add apples. Spread in a baking dish that has been coated with coconut oil.

Topping: Mix maple syrup, coconut oil, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Combine with oats, almond flour, and chopped pecans.  Spread over apples in baking dish.

Bake at 350° for 10 minutes covered with tinfoil. Then bake at 350° for 35 minutes uncovered.
