Vegan Red, White, and Blue Smoothie
This festive Vegan Red, White, and Blue Smoothie is just in time for the 4th of July! It is a healthy way to start your day!
Servings 2 (approx. 16 ounce) smoothies
Blue layer: In a Nutribullet or blender, mix all blue layer ingredients. Divide between two mason jars or glasses and freeze for 30-40 minutes*.
White layer: Mix white layer ingredients and pour on top of blue layers. Freeze for another 30-40 minutes.
Red layer: Mix all red layer ingredients and pour on top of white layers.
Every freezer is different. You may keep yours colder than mine. You will be able to tell when the smoothie is ready for another layer when it becomes more still.
Just give it a slight shake - not to hard because you don't want it creeping up the sides. If it moves a lot it isn't ready. If you add another layer to soon the colors will mix together.
