🔪 Instructions

Step 1: Soak the walnuts for 8 hours and discard the water. Add ingredients to a high-speed blender.

Step 2: Blend until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Pour walnut milk through a fine mesh strainer, nut milk bag, or cheesecloth. Discard pulp. Shake right before serving.

💭 Tips
- Soaking the nuts first is important because it releases their tannins, helps them blend better, and results in a creamier drink.
- If you want a really thick consistency, start with less water, like if you want to use it as creamer for coffee.
- If you are using this in a savory recipe, omit the maple syrup and the vanilla extract.
- Walnut milk will separate when stored in the refrigerator. Just give it a shake before using it.
♨️ Can It Be Heated?
Yes, it can! Walnut milk heats up nicely for things like oatmeal or other recipes.
