โค๏ธ Why You'll Love It
- It is light and refreshing.
- It's made in minutes.
- It's a twist on a classic.
๐งพ Ingredients
- Basil: I used fresh basil. You could use fresh mint leaves instead.
- Grapefruit juice: I used fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. Store-bought grapefruit juice would also work.
- Rum: I use light rum, which is the classic mojito ingredient. It is also known as white rum or silver rum.
- Lime juice: I used fresh squeezed lime juice. I don't recommend store-bought lime juice because it has additives.
- Agave syrup: You could also use simple syrup.
- Club soda: Any sparkling water will work.

Step 2: Juice the grapefruit and pour the juice into the shaker with the basil leaves.
Step 3: Pour rum, lime juice, and agave syrup into the shaker. Fill with ice and shake well. Pour into a glass.
Step 4: Top with club soda. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge or slice.
๐ญ Tips
- Taste after 1 ounce to see how you like it. You can always add more rum, but you can't take it away.
- If you're in a hurry, you can use bottled grapefruit juice.
- Grapefruit can interfere with certain medications, so you may want to investigate if yours does.
๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ณ Recipe FAQs
Light rum, also known as white rum or silver rum is the classic ingredient in mojitos.
Vodka would taste great in this grapefruit mojito in place of the rum.
