❤️ Why You'll Love It
- It is light and refreshing with a wonderful floral flavor.
- It's made in minutes.
- It's perfect for hot summer days.
🧾 Ingredients
- Rum: I use light rum, which is the classic mojito ingredient. It is also known as white rum or silver rum. You could also use vodka for a vodka mojito.
- Lime juice: I used fresh squeezed lime juice. I don't recommend store-bought lime juice because it has additives.
- Lavender simple syrup: Adds a wonderful floral flavor.
- Fresh mint leaves: Adds the minty flavor mojitos are known for. I grow mint indoors. It saves me a lot of money since I love mint so much. Spearmint (or sweet mint) is best for mojitos. Peppermint is too strong.
- Club soda: Any sparkling water will work.
- Frozen blueberries (optional - not pictured): Adds a pretty pink color. You could also use purple potato powder or leave it out altogether.

💭 Tip
To add a purple color, you can squeeze the juice of frozen blueberries or use purple potato powder. Start with a small amount of either and add until you get the desired color.
👩🏻🍳 Recipe FAQs
Light rum, also known as white rum or silver rum is the classic ingredient in mojitos.
Vodka would taste great in this grapefruit mojito in place of the rum.
