    Lavender Mojito

    Made with lavender simple syrup, this Lavender Mojito is sweet, light, and refreshing. Blueberry juice adds a beautiful natural color.

    This Lavender Mojito is a refreshing drink for summer. It tastes good with rum and without as a virgin mojito.

    Blueberry juice adds a beautiful color. You could leave it out if you prefer.

    ❤️ Why You'll Love It

    • It is light and refreshing with a wonderful floral flavor.
    • It's made in minutes.
    • It's perfect for hot summer days.

    🧾 Ingredients

    Ingredients for Lavender Mojitos on a cutting board with labels.
    • Rum: I use light rum, which is the classic mojito ingredient. It is also known as white rum or silver rum. You could also use vodka for a vodka mojito.
    • Lime juice: I used fresh squeezed lime juice. I don't recommend store-bought lime juice because it has additives.
    • Lavender simple syrup: Adds a wonderful floral flavor.
    • Fresh mint leaves: Adds the minty flavor mojitos are known for. I grow mint indoors. It saves me a lot of money since I love mint so much. Spearmint (or sweet mint) is best for mojitos. Peppermint is too strong.
    • Club soda: Any sparkling water will work.
    • Frozen blueberries (optional - not pictured): Adds a pretty pink color. You could also use purple potato powder or leave it out altogether.

    🔪 Instructions

    Mint and lavender simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with wooden spoon.

    Step 1: Add mint leaves and lime juice into a cocktail shaker. Muddle to break up the mint leaves.

    Mint, rum, lavender simple syrup, lime juice, and ice in a cocktail shaker.

    Step 2: Add ice, lavender simple syrup, and rum to the cocktail shaker. Put the cover on and give it a good shake.

    Step 3: Pour the mojito mixture into a glass filled with ice cubes.

    Step 4: Top with club soda and garnish with mint or lime wedges.

    💭 Tip

    To add a purple color, you can squeeze the juice of frozen blueberries or use purple potato powder. Start with a small amount of either and add until you get the desired color.

    What can I use instead of rum in a mojito?

    Lavender Mojito

    Made with lavender simple syrup, this Lavender Mojito is sweet, light, and refreshing. Blueberry juice adds a beautiful natural color.

    Equipment

    • Cocktail shaker
    • Muddler or tip of wooden spoon

    Ingredients

    • 2 ounces light rum
    • 2 tablespoons lime juice
    • 3 tablespoons lavender simple syrup
    • 6 mint leaves
    • Club soda
    • Frozen blueberries (optional - for color)

    Instructions

    • Place mint leaves and lime juice in a cocktail shaker and muddle well.
    • Pour rum and lavender simple syrup into the shaker. Fill with ice and shake well. Pour into a glass.
    • Top with club soda.

    Notes

    If you want a lavender color you can squeeze frozen blueberries or add purple potato powder into the glass until you have the desired color. I tried both and they both worked well. In the photos above I used frozen blueberries.
    Taste after 1 ounce to see how you like it. You can always add more rum, but you can't take it away.
