    This Iced Lavender Matcha Latte has the perfect balance of flavors. It has a sweet floral taste from lavender simple syrup.

    This Iced Lavender Matcha Latte has been my favorite way to cool off during these hot summer months. It is sweet and refreshing with the perfect balance of flavors.

    Lavender and match green tea make a wonderful combination. The sweet floral taste of the lavender balances out the earthy matcha.

    I've also made a hot Matcha Oat Milk Latte recipe. Matcha lattes are a nice alternative to a cup of coffee.

    🧾 Ingredients

    • Matcha green tea powder: I use a blend of ceremonial grade and premium grade harvested matcha. I recommend a high-quality matcha powder for the best taste. Save the culinary grade matcha for baking.
    • Lavender simple syrup: I used my homemade lavender simple syrup recipe made from culinary lavender flowers, sugar, and water. You could also use maple syrup, agave syrup, vanilla syrup, chai simple syrup, or your favorite sweetener.
    • Oat milk: I used oat milk, but you could use almond milk, coconut milk, or any dairy-free milk you like.

    🔪 Instructions

    Matcha powder and warm milk in a small bowl being whisked.

    Step 1: Heat a small amount of oat milk in the microwave or in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Add matcha powder. Whisk with a fork or whisk if you don't have a matcha whisk.

    Iced Lavender Matcha Latte

    This Iced Lavender Matcha Latte has the perfect balance of flavors. It has a sweet floral taste from lavender simple syrup.

    Ingredients

    • 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder
    • 2 tablespoons lavender simple syrup
    • 1 cup oat milk

    Instructions

    • Heat a couple of tablespoons of oat milk in the microwave. Do not heat it for too long; you don't want the oat milk too hot or the matcha will become bitter.
    • Add matcha green tea powder. Whisk until dissolved.
    • Combine the matcha mixture with oat milk.
    • Add lavender simple syrup. Stir to combine.
    • Pour into a glass with ice.

    Notes

    To make a hot lavender match latte, bring oat milk to a low simmer in a small pot over medium heat. Don't let the oat milk get too hot. You want the temperature to be 176° F (80° C) or cooler so the matcha doesn't become bitter.
    Remove the saucepan from the heat, then pour the matcha tea powder and lavender simple syrup into the saucepan and whisk.
    You can froth the matcha mixture as well. If you don't have a handheld frother, you can shake the mixture in a mason jar.
