These Turmeric Overnight Oats are great way to get some turmeric and ginger into your diet, which I've been doing for the last few years.
I normally add turmeric and ginger to my morning smoothie. I also take turmeric gummies daily.
Other recipes with turmeric are my No-Bake Turmeric Energy Bites, Vegan Turmeric Ice Cream, Vegan Turmeric Latte, and Turmeric Banana Smoothie.
Turmeric also tastes great in salad dressing, like my Turmeric Tahini Dressing.
A long time kombucha maker, I've added it to some of my kombucha recipes, like my Ginger Turmeric Kombucha.

❤️ Why You'll Love It
- It's got turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon which adds a warm spice flavor.
- Made the night before, it's great for meal prep.
- It's super easy to customize; add protein powder or vegan Greek yogurt for some protein or add some nuts for some crunch.
🧾 Ingredients

- Rolled oats: Rolled oats (old-fashioned oats) work best for overnight oats. I used gluten-free rolled oats. They get soft enough while not being too mushy. You could use quick oats, but you won't have as much texture. You could also use steel-cut oats. If you do you'll want to soak them for the full 8 hours or more. You'll have more texture than rolled oats.
- Soy milk: You can use vanilla almond milk, oat milk, cashew milk, coconut milk, or any dairy-free milk.
- Turmeric, ground ginger, and cinnamon: Add a warm spice flavor.
- Maple syrup: Adds sweetness. You could also use agave syrup, brown sugar, coconut sugar, or your favorite sweetener.
- Chia seeds (optional): I added chia seeds for some protein and fiber. You can leave them out if you like.
- Salt: Enhances sweetness. I like to use sea salt.
- Black pepper: Helps the absorption of turmeric. A pinch is such a small amount that you won't even taste it.
- Chopped mango or banana: Adds a sweet fruity flavor. Add your favorite fruit or leave it out.

🔪 Instructions

Step 1: Add all turmeric overnight oats ingredients except mango to a mason jar or airtight container.

Step 2: Stir the oat mixture and let sit overnight. In the morning add chopped mango or banana.
💭 Tips
- You may want more liquid than I've listed. Start with the amount shown and check the consistency in the morning to see if you want more after it's been absorbed.
- Add fresh fruit right before you eat it.
- If you try this with vegan yogurt or coconut milk you may want more liquid because it will make the oats thick and dense.
🍽 Serving
You can eat this overnight oatmeal straight from the fridge or heat it up in a bowl if you wish. To heat them, remove the lid and microwave at 30 second intervals until warmed to your liking.
🥡 Storage
This recipe will last about 3 days in an airtight container in the fridge.
