Is Golden Milk the Same as a Turmeric Latte?
Before we talk about this dairy-free Turmeric Ice Cream, is golden milk the same as a turmeric latte? Turmeric latte is also know as golden milk, so this Turmeric Ice Cream could also be called Golden Milk Ice Cream.
What Does a Turmeric Latte Taste Like?
Turmeric latte has the warming spices of turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, and black pepper. For this recipe, you get all the flavors of a turmeric latte in ice cream form.
There's sweetened condensed coconut milk and coconut milk to make this ice cream rich and creamy.
❤️ Why You'll Love It
- It's sweet, rich, and creamy.
- You don't need an ice cream maker.
- It takes minutes to make. It's waiting for it to freeze that requires patience!
🧾 Ingredients

- Sweetened condensed coconut milk: Adds a sweet, rich, creamy flavor. You could also use sweetened condensed oat milk or homemade sweetened condensed coconut milk.
- Coconut milk: Make sure to use full-fat coconut milk. It adds a creamy consistency and rich flavor. The light coconut milk will be too watery for this. Another fun ice cream flavor is my Vegan S'mores Ice Cream.
- Vanilla extract: Enhances flavors.
- Ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, pepper, and salt: Warming spices that go well with turmeric. Black pepper helps with the curcumin in turmeric to absorb better.

Hi WIllow,
This sounds really interesting and tasty but I'm wondering if different non-dairy milks could be used instead of coconut? We don't care much for the taste of coconut and have found that even chocolate or mint chip ice creams made with coconut milk still taste like coconut. Thanks

You could try cashew milk. One of the reasons I use coconut milk is its fat content. It helps to create a creamy texture. Since cashews are high in fat as well, that would be a good option. I haven't tried it, but I would start with 1/2 the recipe to see how you like it.
