This Vanilla Simple Syrup is the perfect addition to coffee or tea. Pour it over pancakes, waffles or ice cream.
It's simple and easy to make. It can made with a vanilla bean or vanilla extract.
Instructions
- If using a vanilla bean, cut in half, slice down the middle and scrape the seeds out.
- In a small saucepan, add vanilla bean pod and seeds or vanilla extract along with sugar and water.
- Bring water to a boil. Simmer 3-5 minutes.
- Pull out vanilla bean pod.
Storage
This simple syrup will last up to two weeks in an airtight container in the fridge.
