Edible Brownie Batter (Vegan, Gluten Free)

    Jump to Recipe Pin

This Edible Brownie Batter is sweet, rich, and creamy. Made in about 5 minutes, you can have dessert in no time!

Edible Brownie Batter in mason jar.

This Edible Brownie Batter is a quick and easy way to satisfy your chocolate craving. It has a rich, fudgy, chocolate flavor.

It tastes good with fruit or eaten by itself. I ate it on apple slices and by the spoonful. Graham crackers would also be good.

Since this recipe has almond flour, there's no need to heat treat it, so you don't have to wait for dessert. Just grab a spoon and dig in!

You could also use oat flour in place of almond flour. If you use any other raw flour, you'll need to heat treat it to get rid of harmful bacteria.

    🧾 Ingredients

    Ingredients with labels.
    • Almond flour: You could also use gluten-free all-purpose baking flour, or oat flour if you prefer not to use heat-treated flour.
    • Cacao powder (or cocoa powder): Adds a chocolaty flavor.
    • Brown sugar: Adds sweetness. You could also use maple syrup. If you do, you'll use less oat milk.
    • Vanilla extract: Enhances flavors.
    • Oat milk: Thins out the batter and adds a sweet creamy flavor. You could also use soy milk, cashew milk, almond milk, or other dairy-free milk.
    • Vegan butter: Adds a rich flavor. You could leave it out.
    • Salt: Enhances sweetness.
    • Chocolate chips: Adds a sweet chocolaty bite. You could also use dark chocolate chunks, or mini chocolate chips, or leave them out altogether.
