After making my Lavender Latte recipe, I knew I had to try a rose flavor as well. My Rose Kombucha recipe is another perfect choice for anyone who enjoys floral and aromatic beverages.

You could also make a rose tea latte if you prefer tea.

    ❤️ Why You'll Love It

    • It has a lovely floral note.
    • It is a unique drink that is simple and easy to make at home, with simple ingredients.
    • It has the perfect balance of robust coffee with a sweet subtle floral flavor.

    🧾 Ingredients

Ingredients on a cutting board with labels.
    • Dry edible rose petals: I used edible rose petals that I found online. I couldn't find any at my local grocery store. You could also use rose buds.
    • Sugar: I have only tried this recipe with white sugar, so I am not sure how it would taste with brown sugar or coconut sugar.
    • Water
Ingredients on a cutting board with labels.
    • Rose simple syrup: Adds a sweet floral flavor. Another floral simple syrup recipe is my lavender simple syrup recipe.
    • Soy milk: I like soy milk because it froths nicely. You could also use oat milk, almond milk, coconut milk, or other dairy-free milk.
    • Coffee or espresso: I used my cold brew coffee recipe because it is less acidic than a regular cup of coffee.

    🔪 Instructions

Rose petals, sugar, and water in a small saucepan.

Step 1: Add ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and heat partially covered for 10-15 minutes.

Rose petals being strained from simple syrup.

Step 2: Strain the flowers from the simple syrup.

Rose syrup being poured into a mug with coffee.

Step 3: Add rose simple syrup to hot coffee.

Soy milk being shaken in a mason jar.

Step 4: If you don't have a hand frother, you can froth soy milk by shaking soy milk in a mason jar.

Soy milk being poured into a mug with coffee and rose simple syrup.

Step 3: Pour soy milk over coffee. Spoon the creamy foam on top.

How To Froth Soy Milk Without A Milk Frother

You can blend soy milk in a high speed blender or shake it in a mason jar. I prefer the mason jar because it's easy and there's less to wash.

Just pour your warm or hot soy milk into the jar. I use a plastic lid that just happens to fit mason jars, but you can use the lid that comes with the jar - you just may need to hold a towel over it if it isn't secure enough.

Then, shake vigorously. Pour soy milk over the drink, then spoon the foam on top.

    💭 Tips

    • Do NOT use a Nutribullet to blend hot soy milk. It doesn't do well with hot liquids. If you want to use it, blend cold soy milk, then heat the soy milk.
    • I used soy milk because it froths nicely. You can use any plant-based milk you like.
    • To make an iced rose latte, do not heat the soy milk. Add coffee that has cooled to room temperature to a glass with ice cubes. Top the iced coffee with rose simple syrup, and frother soy milk.
    • Add vanilla extract and use vanilla soy milk for a vanilla rose latte.

**Important! If you are gluten free you may want to avoid coffee altogether. I personally have never had a problem drinking it, and I have a gluten intolerance. It is probably because I drink whole bean organic coffee, and grind it myself. I learned that it can be problematic for people who don't tolerate gluten. So I did some research and one article mentioned to try organic whole bean coffee because it isn't highly processed causing cross-reactivity issues. So please do the research yourself, and test it out. I try to only post recipes that are 100% gluten free since I have a gluten intolerance. I am really careful about avoiding gluten in my daily life.
