Spicy Harissa Hummus is a hostess' dream come true because it can be made ahead of time and it is made in minutes. It is perfect to add to your game day menu. It is a great choice for vegans and non-vegans alike!

If you like spicy foods, then you will love this Harissa Hummus. It is about the same heat level as sriracha sauce, with harissa being a little spicier.
That is to say at least for the harissa paste that I bought. I have yet to try other brands.
To give you an idea of the spice level of harissa paste, I used about twice the amount of sriracha sauce in my Sriracha Hummus as I did here.
Taste as you go to see how spicy you want it.

What Is Harissa Paste?
If you have never had harissa paste before, it is a hot chili pepper paste. It is made with roasted red peppers, hot chili peppers, and herbs and spices.
It is a staple in North African and Middle Eastern cuisine.
As soon as I tasted harissa paste, I knew that I wanted to use it in hummus. Hummus is an easy go-to staple in my house.
I already have around a dozen hummus recipes, with more on the way. It is one condiment that I will never get sick of.
