This healthy Vegan Cauliflower Pizza Crust is crispy and flavorful. It is super easy to make and is a great way to sneak in some veggies!

This Vegan Cauliflower Pizza Crust is healthy and full of flavor. You can't even taste the cauliflower in it.
Once you add toppings, it tastes similar to a traditional pizza crust. It's a wonderful way to sneak in some veggies.
Another way I like to sneak it in is in a cauliflower smoothie.
Other great ways to use cauliflower are recipes like Mexican Cauliflower Rice and Mashed Cauliflower.

🧾 Ingredients
This is an overview of the ingredients. To see the full list of ingredients with measurements and instructions, see the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
- Cauliflower: I used fresh cauliflower. You could also use frozen cauliflower rice if you have that.
- Flour: I used gluten-free all-purpose baking flour. You could use regular flour.
- Ground flaxseed: Acts as a binder. You can grind your own flaxseed meal in a coffee grinder or Nutribullet with the milling blade.
- Nutritional yeast: Adds a cheesy flavor. You could leave it out.
- Basil, oregano, onion powder, and garlic powder: Adds flavor.
- Olive oil: Also binds the dough.
- Salt and pepper: Enhances flavors and adds flavor.

Steam cauliflower until tender. Let cool.
Step 2: Place cauliflower in a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth.
Squeeze out the excess liquid.
Step 3: Place the cauliflower in a food processor with the rest of ingredients.
Mix until incorporated.
Step 4: Spread dough onto an oiled parchment paper lined baking pan. Bake cauliflower crust until starting to brown.
Add toppings and bake about 5 minutes more. Cut into slices.
🥡 Storage
This vegan pizza crust will last 3-4 days in an airtight container in the fridge.
♨️ Reheating
The best way to reheat the crust is on a low setting in the oven. You could also reheat it in the microwave, but it won't be as crispy.
🍽 Serving
Here are some topping ideas.
- Marinara sauce, pizza sauce or vegan pesto
- Vegan cheese: vegan mozzarella, vegan cheddar, or other variety
- Fresh basil or other fresh herbs
- Red pepper flakes
- Nutritional yeast
- Pineapple and onion
- Vegan Hawaiian BBQ Pizza
- Thai Pizza
- Vegan Taco Pizza
- Vegan Cheeseburger Pizza
💭 Tips
- Make sure to squeeze out the excess liquid from the steamed cauliflower. It will measure about 1 cups worth afterwards.
- Bake the crust before adding the toppings. That way it will crisp up. After you've baked it until it has started to brown, add your desired toppings and bake until the toppings are heated through.

- ½ teaspoon onion powder

- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil + more for oiling baking sheet

- ½ cup gluten free all purpose baking flour

- Add your toppings and cook for about 5 minutes, or store in the fridge and use within a few days.

This just may be the answer to all my problems! I love pizza, but the calorie count makes me want to cry. I recently tried swapping normal rice for cauliflower rice and my calorie intake has been more than halved (I eat a lot of rice), and this would allow me to make delicious pizzas at home without all those calories from the crust!
Willow Moon says
I love cauliflower rice too! With the right topping and sauce for both cauliflower rice and cauliflower pizza, you really don't notice the difference! I still feel like I am indulging in some comfort food.

This looks so good and healthy! I make a similar recipe but the addition you have of flax seeds and nutritional yeast is genius! The crust actually looks more flaky and real rather than the typical fall-apart soggy pizza. Great recipe! I will have to try and pinning for later.
Willow Moon says
It helps to squeeze out as much water as possible and roll it thin. That makes for a crispier crust that will stay together.
